great little filter
i use these on my seahorse tanks, and they do a fabulous job, not to strong of a current, yet a lot of gph water flow through the filter media, the self adjusting skimmer feature is a bonus....

algone works
this is a strange product, but it works...I have no idea at what the ingredients of the pouches are...my guess is some sort of powdered plant material....you will need to do periodic maintenance on the pouches by rinsing & squeezing the bio-film that builds up on the outside....I have heavy bio loads on my many tanks with multiple feedings for faster growth, so keeping the nitrite/ nitrate levels in check is a necessity, and Algone does the job well.
