HORRIBLE LOUD SCREECHING SOUND
0 of 2 found this helpful I bought one of these reels back in May for a week long fishing trip in Wisconsin .... The reel was amazing, casted smooth and long for 3 days, then on the 4th day it started making a terrible screeching noise on every cast. So the reel was basically garbage after 3 days of use. I did love how smooth and long it casted so and I couldn't find anyone online complaining of this issue, so I decided to give it another chance and bought another one for my July Minnesota fishing trip. Reel worked amazing with long smooth casts for the first 4 days of the trip. Then the same exact thing happened to this reel ..... LOUD screeching on every cast and only about half the casting distance. I know that there is no way this is only happening to me and happened 2 times. If they continued to work i would replace every reel in my arsenal with these reels ... but $120 bucks for 3 or 4 days of use is not worth it.
