Great Tool!
3 of 4 found this helpful Just starting into brokering gold & silver, usually from the road. This scale is small, lightweight and accurate. I used it 3 times and it made me hundreds of dollars. Only flaw, is it doesn't have a display hold, so when you are weighing 16" platters, you cannot see the display. I put a small box on the platform to raise up a large piece, zero out and work that way around it. Recommended!

Great Pulling Locomotive
Whenever we discuss prewar American Flyer, we must set baselines for condition. Almost without exception, original AF wheels need replacing for proper operation. Once that has been done, the motors are usually smooth and quiet, and if the reverse works, they will run for years with a prop[er lubrication. The 3322 is a very heavy loco and coupled with the 3198 tender, should pull 6 to 8 -9" cars comfortably on level track. Its a good all-around engine and it pulled a nice array of freight & passenger cars if you are a set collector. For the operator, it should be a staple if you can find one in nice shape. It will negotiate AF 40" and Lionel 031 switches equally as it has moderate flange length, but may not like later Lionel postwar 027 switches or Super O Lionel. The roller length is wide enough not to trip the reverse over 020X cross tracks, but its not fond of jumping up over the frog, a bit shaky.
Wheels are usually available on eBay and most qualified repair persons with a wheel press can put them on evenly and properly quartered. Pony wheels are trickier, but, again, use professional and save aggravation later on.
