Excellent video - disappointed, not what I expected
I bought the disc because it was Blu-ray and I expected to see video from orbit. Well, it was just that, but I really couldn't make out what was what. Lots of clouds covered the video and when I saw land, which was often, I really couldn't make out where it was. You would see a coast line, lots of things, but I couldn't tell where on earth I was looking at. So, it was a bit of a disappointment for me. Net net: Excellent video, but after a while it all looked about the same to me.

Avatar review - Blu-Ray disc 2010
I'm sure that's there will be many reviews for this movie, so I don't have to go into details on the story, etc. After all its the number 1 best selling movie in the history of cinema, beating out Titanic, Star Wars, Gone with the Wind, and all others.
For me, I couldn't wait to get the blu-ray version. I saw the movie in the theaters and was very happy to get this version for my own. The film is amazing, wonderful story line, with great graphics and special effects. Really came out great on my 1080p LCD big screen. Family and friends have already watched this movie on my tv at home multiple times.

I like te Archos 605
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought it to take along on vacations where we're in the car for long periods of time and my wife can watch a movie, or we can play some music while I drive. It has a nice touch screen feature, but I tend to use the buttons more often, except when changing the volume or skipping forward/backward on a movie. My Archos 605 has 80 GB, which I find more than adequate for my intentions. So far, I've put about 20 movies on the thing, recorded some TV shows (you need the docking station to do this), and a bunch of MP3 songs. The speakers are ok, really need to use the earphones for music though, as the external speakers aren't as good as the quality you get through the earphones. The Wi-Fi capabilites are poor, hard to get a connection even via my home internet. The web tv is also not so good, lots of channels, but unless you like the local city council for noname city, the channels dont offer you much, no ABC, NBC, CBS, etc.. The web radio however is much better, lots of channels, lots of choices and gendres. Overall, I love my Archos PMP.
