Perfect for making lots of burgers

Huh! I had low expectations for this because of the low price, even though it was a Cuisinart product. But guess what - it's a great little device. It's made of some sort of plastic, and I wish it were stainless, but that would have made it much more expensive. I think the plastic will last a long time. I tested it out for our Independence Day cookout. 9.5lbs of ground beef made into 1/3lb burgers. It took me maybe 20 minutes to grab about 1/3lb of meat, and smash it into a burger. Some were regular burgers, and some were stuffed with sautéed mushrooms and onions. They turned out great! If I noticed a problem, it was with me, and not the press: I wish my hands were capable of getting exactly the amount of beef I want so the burgers were perfectly uniform. I come close. All the above are pro's. There are no con's. Although I don't expect to need one, I'd buy another in a heartbeat.
