Great Little Box and Remote - Hard to Beat

These were issued "before their time" and quite often require a bit of network savvy to set up. While they may have envisioned a more open internet music server environment, I use it for playing from a full-fidelity wav file library on my home network. After all, storage costs nothing these days. What's fabulous is the wifi remotes with color screens for choosing your music of the moment, or a playlist, or whatever you want. And, the compact little streaming box has two digital (Toslink and RCA coax) outputs, along with old-school stereo analog outs. Wonderful device - and working in conjunction with the Logitech Media Server, does it's job flawlessly. Can't ask for much more. I think mainstream mass audience probably couldn't handle the nuances of a typical network setup, network addresses, choosing between wifi and hardwaire ethernet, etc., etc.
