Great fit and strong
This FMF expansion chamber was a replacement for one that came on a 1996 KDX200 that it purchased last year. I discovered after I started working on the bike that it had been in a really bad lay down crash on the right side. Bad enough to bend and tweak parts of the frame. When I was replacing the O-rings on the FMF unit I couldn't get it to remount onto the bike. I discovered that it had been tweaked as well and wasn't lining up right. I decided to replace it instead of repairing the old one as I don't have the proper tools to do that. The first one took a HUGE hit and almost survived it. I'm absolutely sure that I'll be able to get a riding buddy with the right tools to help me straighten the first one out and keep it as a spare, but I doubt that I'll need it.
Since the bike came with the FMF expansion chamber already mounted and some other mods done I can't tell you if ti made a difference from stock, but I'm sure it did. And I'm sure that the stock chamber would have been crushed in a wreck like this bike was in.
