Tiny mobile printer
When I first opened the box, it was so small, I first thought that the seller sent me a laptop battery by mistake. This was advertised as "for parts or not working", but I decided to take a chance. When it arrived, I put a roll of FAX paper in it, and it worked perfectly (after getting the driver installed). These are almost certainly pulls from police cars. I will be installing it in a cruising sailboat, and I think I may get another for a spare. Very happy with this purchase. I did purchase a holder for it from a company called RAM which cost about double the printer price. Text quality is a bit poor, but I am using it for weather faxes which print out very well.

Yes, but.......
This is an odd accessory to Whale's 1 1/2 " bilge pumps. Its purpose is to make a right angle as close as possible to the pump body. The problem, as I see it, is that both parts are made from polypropylene, a substance that requires a very specialized glue. The other problem is that there are no installation instructions on line or included with the part. I tried contacting Whale twice and never got a response. I called Atwood, the Whale representative here in the USA, and spoke to their tech support who told me that there is an interference friction fit between the pump (male) and the elbow (female). She advised to heat the elbow in hot water to make installation easier. Ultimately, I didn't use it because I couldn't get the geometry to work out.

good for caustic chemicals
This is a standard size seal in stainless steel with a ss spring. I am using it for saltwater. The list price is around $70. Entirely satisfactory. I must say this is the first time I have been asked for a review of a rotating shaft seal. Ahh... what a strange modern world we live in.
