Nice, warm sounding mouthpiece.

I purchased this to go along with my Yamaha YTS62S Purple Logo tenor sax. I was looking for a more vintage sound and this mouthpiece is helping me accomplish that.

Quality mouthpiece and plays well.

I reentered the world of saxophone playing about 5 months ago after a 45 year hiatus. My first mouthpiece is a Yamaha 4C and has served me well but I wasn’t able to obtain the “sound” I desired. The Selmer S80 has a slightly larger tip opening and more snug fit to the neck of my tenor. It has allowed me to achieve the rich, warmer sounds and reach the full range on my P Mauriat tenor. Very satisfied at this point. I am using a Rovner ligature in lace of the original.
