Incorrect sizes and poor alignment. If you are handy, it is possible to correct.
Nothing new: incorrect sizes and poor alignment. The adapter has two contact strips inside for each pole. The closer to the center contact strips (inner) will be crashed on first use with probability about 99.99% due to improper position and grinding against plastic divider. A US plug does not go in at reasonable force and applying some more force jams those inner strips to the bottom. It is well visible after plug is pulled out. I good move is to unscrew and open the item before first use , try to slide pins of US plug against the contact strips to see what is wrong with position and alignment, straighten the inner strips until US plug slides along well without losing contact, realign outer contact strips to touch inner strips, test the sliding and reassemble the item. The Euro pins are short about 1/8 inch then the standard and they are quite narrow, but here nothing much can be done, it depends on design and condition of euro receptacle how well it will be in contact on euro side. I would say that it has high chance to overheat in crashed state at 1000W ( if it will work stable at all) , beware. It could be fine for small load like phone charger if the phone charger pins do not get broken .
The item is another sample of what happens when an item is designed or replicated by people not knowing what they are doing. It seems that it is produced on Taiwan, poor for source's reputation.
