Great tree for 1:32 scale!
The tree is packaged well in a sturdy box and anchored in a styrofoam base. Removing the tree was a trick since the block has a very tight fit. Once out of the box, I drilled the appropriate size hole in the diorama base and glued it in place.
The "bark" surface is smooth, a compound was applied to hide the wire armature, and this it does so very well. The trunk is painted appropriately for an aspen and the foliage itself is light and airy, not heavy and thick like so many other trees on the market. This airyness helps with the overall impression that it really is a tree. Because aspen leaves are so distinct, it would help the overall realism to apply appropriate scale leaves on top of the foliage. I did and the effect was immediate, and the tree is quite an eye catcher.
Overall, this JTT is well worth the money for the impact it makes on a large scale diorama. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being high, I give it a 9 out of 10 but for the lack of detailed leaves.
