It works... sort of...
Bought this to hold a small camcorder in a ballet studio so the parents can see what's going on with their kids. It's a great size and good enough quality except for one thing- the legs don't stay where you put them. In the picture, it looks like they would bend and stay, but they always have a tendency to return to the center. And the camcorder isn't quite heavy enough to counteract the leg rebound. If I push down on the whole assembly and gingerly remove my hands, I can get it to stay. But as soon as someone touches it or the wires/cables, it starts to pop back up enough that I have to go position it again. Still, for under $3, I can't complain too much. It works... sort of.

Great lights, but could be so much better
The lights themselves are great. I love that they can change to just about any color. But that does not mean you can set up the lights any way you want. You have to use one of the effects already programmed and try to modify it to get what you want. Some of the effects allow you to change the colors of the lights, as well as the speed that they change and the brightness of the bulbs. Unfortunately, not all effects allow all the modifications. I was hoping to have the lights multi-colored with random twinkling to white. I could not find any way to do that. It would be great if the program were more programmable. But there are plenty of effects that I like enough that our tree is pleasant to look at and enjoy.

Did the trick- fixed my monitor. Saved bucks! Learned how to solder.
