Elvis is alive! I swear I just saw him eating....DVD
This Film is very entertaining for people who are Elvis fans or just enjoy a good joke. It is not a historically correct film, but I think it was not meant to be that to begin with. Lots of funny actors and dramatic views as a young reporter goes on his nationwide quest to find Elvis! The Elvis groupie chick he picks up along the way is outrageous! Also, I must point out that Mr. Steven Murphy plays an Excellent Elvis role towards the end of this film and the the real ending has a very good twist that you would not expect. I would recommend this film for family fun and say it was a very good film, not excellent film mind you (due to a couple of parts that sort of drag you around) however, a VERY GOOD film that was well shot with huge backgrounds and unusual scenes. You will enjoy it if your Love Elvis!

Flashy cover...just OK music wise...decent for the $$.
The cover of this CD is probably the more exciting part of the CD. The music was just average...further, I would consider a few cuts to be below average. There are various artists on this CD, some much better than others, 50%/50% good to bad, in my opinion.
However, thats not to say that this CD is not worth the money, if its as reasonable as I got mine, under $6.00, because the cuts on it that are good do make it worth while. Overall, I would say that this is a fun CD to have. Its a good reminder that Betty Page was quite a gal!

I went to a Garden Party with ELVIS PRESLEY!
Hey there! This Album is a MUST have for Elvis fans and non Elvis fans alike. It was recorded LIVE at Madison Square Gardens in the early 1970's however, the quality of the CD version has been re-mastered and is superior, in my opinion, than the vinyl version. RARELY would I ever say that. Here, You hear EVERY DETAIL. The audience anticipation, The bands exciting build, Elvis a he comes on stage in GREAT form, the audience response to him, his communication with them, the band members, the colonel...it is just as if you are standing in the wings of the stage. I heard this through a set of Sony noise-canceling headphones straight through, without interruption. I would recommend taking the time to listen to it in the same manner with a Good set of headphones, a Bose pair would have been even better but, these Sony's are of good quality and less on your wallet too. Anyways, This CD was a very good value from the dealer I bought it from and it came BRAND NEW and quickly. Mostly, I have stayed away from live recordings in the past due to poor quality, noise or interference from the public however, I would highly recommend this CD even if you are like me and have "heard them all". Did you ever see Elvis in person? If not, this is the next best thing to being there. If you are ready to hear the KING live, You have a real treat in store for yourself... Elvis fan..or not. You will soon become one, if your not. One of my favorite CD disc's in an age of digital down loaded music, ipods and itunes. You will not be sorry with this CD, thats what I think. Keep on TCB'ing and ENJOY "An afternoon in the Garden" with Elvis Presley!!
