Don’t drop your guard!

Killer CD. Classic Butterfield with horns.
I had purchased this recording as an LP many years ago. I had seen the Butterfield Blues Band play many of these tracks live. Paul Butterfield was an outstanding Blues vocalist, and a very under rated band leader. He remains the greatest Blues harmonica player ever. This album is a great compilation of Blues and R&B, with great arrangements and wonderful horn sections. Kudos to Elvin Bishop whose guitar was very tasteful and crisp. If you feel at all reluctant about this CD, jump in with both feet and experience one of the greatest Blues Bands to ever interpret Chicago Blues. Paul Butterfield Lives!
