It's OK but not without its drawbacks
On the face of it, its a good product but required quite a bit of "fettling" to get it to fit the pickup switch - the slot on the base of the switch was too small even for a "tight" fit. I appreciate the fit needed to be "tight", but not to the extent that it wouldn't fit at all. OK, I managed to getit fitted in the end, but not without problems and patience. In summary, it's ok if not slightly disappointing

It's OK but not the best
It works fine but the physical size of it means that it doesn't sit firmly in the 12volt socket and can be a little bit wobbly. Consequently, contact can be lost if for example you knock it whilst changing gear or inserting another 12v item into it. It will be fine for cars where the 12v socket is in a position where it won't get knocked, but mine is close to the gear lever. As an adapter, It's ok I suppose but I'm considering replacing mine for a simpler USB only adapter.

cheaper version of a Dometic cooler - but well worth it
Well made, strong and sturdy yet easy enough to store food in. Cools to around 25 degrees below ambient and cools contents nicely when we used it recently as an addition to our rather full fridge. It was considerably cheaper than the Dometic Tropicool, (which is I believe the later model) but I understand the Dometic actually cools to around 31 degrees below ambient, so performs slightly better. However, for the price difference, the Waeco was definitely worth it and for us it cools sufficiently enough for UK use, but might struggle a bit in hot climates. We chose this as an alternative to a built in fridge in our campervan, as it gives the additional benefit of being portable. would I buy it again ?.... Yes
