Mossberg 500 with Heat Shield
2 of 2 found this helpful I think this forend is extremely comfortable and well worth 30$. The product itself is great and I wish they designed one just for mossberg 500. I’m writing a review for those of you with Mossberg 500s with heat shields. I was able to make it work but it did require some work. I used a piece of leather and a vice to push in the sides of the heat shield. Then I had to use a dremel and some fine grit sand paper to file down the forend where it was still rubbing on the heat shield. I hope that helps those of you wanting to try. It’s probably still gonna rub on my heat shield and leave some marks but I think it’s well worth it over a stock forend.
