The perfect walk-around lens for hobby photographer or entry-level professional
This lens is basically exactly what I expected: with such a wide zoom range, it offers a diverse range of uses, and is the perfect walk-around lens. However, you do sacrifice sharpness and low-light performance, and overall the images it captures are underwhelming. It's definitely not my go-to for professional photoshoots, but it certainly fills in the gaps when my 35mm is not wide enough and my 50mm doesn't quite reach.
The specific lens that I purchased had some body damage, including a massive scuff on one side and scratches on the glass itself. However, all of this was in the descritpion and in no way affected the performance.
Overall, I'm happy with this lens and until I can afford the prime lenses that cover this range, I'm glad to have this one in my toolbelt.
