Great for it's time...but flawed

-Best and smallest Casio
-Has Both CF and SD
-Screen is super bright and works outdoors
-Has USB support (sort of)
-64MB of RAM works great.
Cons:
-Quickly abandoned by Casio
-USB support is barely existent. Drivers few and far between.
-Accessories like the portable USB host and PCMCIA/2nd battery sled were practically phantom-ware.
-Has reset issues. Back up frequently.
When PPC2002 came out, this was one of the most feature-filled devices. If Casio hadn't had such problems with it (bugs, failing backlights and lack of 3rd-party support) and they had really pushed through software and accessories, it could have been the King. Although they fixed some of the OS problems with the update patches, this unit still likes to lock up and/or drain it's battery and kill all memory contents. The only saving grace is the non-volatile "Built-in-memory" where you can keep the back-up file (it's much like having an additional built-in storage card). If you have a new PPC with bluetooth and Wifi built-in, then having only one card slot would probably work. Having a WiFi, LAN or camera card in your only slot takes away a lot of the utility of that accessory. Where does the data go? PPC 2002 is still useable in 2008 if you are tech savvy, supporing WiFi, network drive mapping, etc. Even at only 206MHz, you can watch pretty good video with stereo sound. My biggest gripe is that the "X" at the top of each window hides the window instead of closing the application. You'd better hope the application has "Exit" in a menu or you will be searching through OS settings to kill a task. MS had this right with H/PC 2000, so I don't know what went wrong.
These things are rare and obsolete, but if you do pick one up, make sure to get the update packs. The last one is a permanent (ROM) fix for some lockup bugs and gives you WMP and network streaming.

It's mono!
This item physically wires the left and right channels together, presumably to save money with a mono slide resistor instead of a dual one. Then it splices out again to tip and ring on the jack so you hear the same mono signal in both ears. Not really a good deal at any price, since it's worthless. If you need an adapter to bridge stereo to mono they make adapters for that. Can't think of any situation where you need the bridge + 2 400 Ohm volume controls (i.e. headphone level).

Cranks so fast
While listed as the starter for 2003+ BBC, it's actually compatible with all SBC and BBC. This gear reduction design is a great upgrade for the small-body direct-drive unit they used from the mid-90's. Those little ones were basically the 3800 starter with the staggered bolt pattern to fit the V8's. The large body starter of the 80's was better, but this Denso is the best.
