Blast From The Past
These DVDs are excellent. The transfers are extremely sharp and look great on our HDTV. I can’t possibly imagine what the Blu-rays would look like! If they are available, I would recommend going for the DVDs as their quality is outstanding and far better than what you could have seen in 1966.

Great Little Christmas Movie
This movie is not really about Christmas, though it has a Christmas setting. The very winsome and pretty main character, Angela, has a Martha Stewart ideal of Christmas in her mind, juxtaposing her workaday world and semi-dysfunctional family. Her parents — who manage/own an apartment building — had lately been renting exclusively to “eligible bachelors” for their daughter. We meet only one and he becomes one of the main characters. A mysterious delivery man then enters the fray with a magical snow globe which enables her to go to her ideal Christmas village. She is enthralled by the perfection and the good, albeit bland-bordering-on-stepford-wivesesque behavior of the villagers. I fear revealing too much of the plot if I go further. But suffice it to say, in the end, that the beautiful Christina Milian learns the lesson of “Don’t let perfection be the enemy of the good.”
