Awesome movie at peak viewing experience

Whether you have or haven't seen this movie, the 4K HDR experience is, by far, the best way to watch. Despite the more monochrome color palette of the film, the remaster allows for every available color to pop. Every bead of sweat can be seen dripping from whatever pore it came from. The sound is also incredible. The physical bonuses like the art cards and book are nice features for collectors and the chipboard box is cool, but you primarily want the 4K upgraded. It belongs in every horror aficionado's collection.

Solid Reboot

Animation is fluid and faithful to the original. Special features are worth the time. Treat it as an addition to the original and not as a replacement and you’ll get more enjoyment out of it. Hard to find a copy now since it’s OOP, but worth doing if you are looking forward to the upcoming release of part 4. Enjoy!

Still Top-Tier

The art on the steelbook is pleasant to look at on top of a glossy, black finish. The movie looks great and the sound is excellent. I could not detect any trace of scrubbing and the resolution was perfect. This movie still holds up almost twenty years later. At the price, it’s a no-brainer purchase if you’re a horror fan.
