Laser fires but something was off. On inspection the mirrors were fouled and scratched to the point the laser is damaging them, lens was cracked. I had ordered a new lens to have in case but the mirrors I did not expect to order until I could make sure which model I got. It sits until I get replacement parts in. The k40s aren't supposed to be amazing, but I did expect it to at least work well enough to cut from the start. It does not. Consider this a non functioning starter kit, and order replacement parts when you order it, or before.
