Great guy movie, not a chick flick

I bought this recently to own, though I had seen it before. I though it would be a great movie to share with my girlfriend. I was wrong.. I am all excited & she is like covering her eyes, and before long left the room--because of the violence. She is right that it is sad, horrible, and hard to watch--though I respect the realism. I'll have to finish it myself now---volume up with popcorn---you know, guy style.
