NEW RELIANCE 306CRK PRO TRAN 2 GENERATOR POWER TRANSFER SWITCH KIT 6 CIRCUIT

Great product, easy install

This is a great "2-pole" transfer switch (does not switch the neutral). It is a SUPER easy install if you are qualified and used to working with electrical wiring. My only complaint is that the receptacle cover is almost impossible to get on once you have mounted it, but also impossible to tighten to the wall once the cover is on. Total design flaw. Getting it mounted tightly/flush took me longer than wiring the entire job. The box should either include washers/spacer plate, or be built to allow the gap at the top for the cover plate to slide over. But really, a minor inconvenience. All in all, a SOLID device for use with a floating-neutral generator. (Yes, you probably wanna check that!)

Best in this price range

Are there "better" rigs out there? Of course! But for the price tag, these are shockingly solid, and packaged amazingly well. Aside from the terrible translations from Chinese on the boxes and manuals, there is little to complain about. The actual hardware is comparable to $300-$500 rigs I have used...solid metals, standardized mount points, "substantial" kind of all-around feel. Overall, a pleasant surprise.
