Nice replacement but it has one problem
The replacement foot is pretty close to the original Canon part, but the hole size for the movable locking pin at the front is slightly undersize. I had to carefully enlarge the hole a very small amount so the pin could move freely. Also, the shoulders of the channel in which the pin moves were a little tight, restricting pin movement so I had to hand-file those a little bit to free up the pin. It now works fine. All in all, a good purchase but the quality could have been better so I wouldn't have to remodel this new part before I could use it.

High quality adapter
Military grade D cell adapter for use in 6volt lantern battery applications. I use AA batteries in D size shells, then load them into this 6v adapter for use in larger flashlights and lanterns. Just what I was looking for, and they are hard to fine. If you're looking for this type of adapter, you won't be disappointed by buying this. I bought two while I was at it and will consider more if I should ever need them.
