AVID brakes generally perfect
1 of 1 found this helpful The fit and finish was generally good but the spring was mis-shaped on one of brake arms which made it fall out when the brake was closed. It was easy to re-bend and make right. They were shipped quickly and came at a very reasonable price.

Works as advertised.
Works as advertised, a bit difficult to get on, but it does seem to work well. A bit high priced for what it is, but beats putting on a new cord and/or replacing the unit. It does make the magsafe pop off easier, given it sticks out for a bit due to the unit put on there, which creates a bit of a lever on the attachment. But for the most part, works well.

The product is a deal compared to paying the cost of a full priced pad. The downside is that it's not the original pad (which is thick felt). This one is fairly thin sponge rubber and will likely not last that long. The other thing is that it needs to be trimmed. As delivered, you'll never get a 1/4 sheet of sandpaper to fit. It's an easy fix with an exacto or razor knife.
