Great model for regular car lovers
I believe this is based on the Revell kit, as some other Hasegawa models? I didn't expect much from this, but it is actually better than I thought. Very good detailing, down to the disc brakes with the correct caliper position, despite you can barely see them behind the wheels. Sadly, no engine, like it is common with Hasegawa. Another negative is the scaling of the wheels and tires. Wheels are a bit too big and tires too skinny. With that said, this is not Tamiya level of perfection. There is some flash and the paint on the wheels is not perfect. Not a big problems as I personally strip the stock paint and do it myself. Again, another bonus from Hasegawa kits, beside the availability of rare and obscure car models is the inclusion of pre-cut masking tape for windows and windshield.

Too much flash and imperfections. It requires a lot of fixing and detailing.
Don't get me wrong, it is amazing that Hasegawa makes these kits based on very regular and obscure models. Perfect for people who love 80's and 90's normal vehicles and fans of oldchool JDM. I love this Civic, but it was I was a bit disappointed about a few things.
I don't know if I got a defective one, but I noticed a huge amount of flash and several imperfections in the molding. Hasegawa is not as good as Tamiya, but having other models from them I've never seen much issues like this before. It is as bad as the worst AMT or Revell models. Thankfully it is all fixable, but it will require a lot more work and detailing.
Other than that, it is well detailed and it looks like a Civic. Like any other Hasegawa kit, there is no engine, but it includes nice features like pre-cut masking tape for windows and windshield which is a very nice bonus.
It's a bit expensive for being a model still produced, but it is the price you pay for overseas shipping and getting rare models you don't get here in the States.

Not great, but still good for a 30 year-old kit
I bought this as a nostalgia trip, as I remember having this kit when I was a kid. This time I'm doing it right. The kit itself has held pretty well, considering it's almost 30 years old. Plastic is in good shape, everything is in place. The only thing that has degraded a bit is the rubber tires, as they are rock solid. I was till able to mount the wheels though.
I haven't seen this kit for nearly 30 years, and I gotta say, it's a lot more detailed than I remember. The only thing that I don't like is the scaling on the wheels and tires. They are a bit too small. Everything else, is spot on. With some good paint it should look good!
