The gauge surface was warped in some areas. Overall condition was ok, and functioned as expected.

S7 active has unique and desirable features for me.
4 of 5 found this helpful The phone is well designed and has a powerful processor. I especially like the 3 tactile buttons on the bottom (active screen, menu, back), as opposed to the touch sensor buttons on all Samsung phones now. The new Galaxy S8 Active does not have tactile buttons, which was a mistake in my opinion. For users with bigger hands like me, my palms and thumbs easily touch these buttons inadvertently, and the tactile buttons prevent a lot of fumbling around when I type or navigate phone apps.
Overall, it's also a great phone. It comes with all the power and performance of the S7 model, and is even more rugged.
My only design recommendation to Samsung is to stop placing the power button directly across the volume buttons. They have been doing this for too long on the galaxy models and frankly it makes no sense. Unless they like their users to turn off their phones whenever changing the volume or vice versa, then it makes perfect sense.
