Lightweight but in the right position reads accurately enough
At first I put this in my front room window which faces east and in the morning it gets fairly direct sunlight. The thermometer read over 100 degrees and it was only in the 70's. Then I reread the instructions that said put it where there is some shade so I moved it to my back porch which faces north and never gets direct sunlight on that window and it has been reading more accurately. It is not a really good quality item, being made from really thin metal, but if it gets the job done it is worth it for the price. I put it on the window with the screen behind it so if the suction ever fails it will still be protected from falling by the screen.
