Disappointing - a shame to own - mixer.
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this to replace my other Sunbeam 450 watt mixer. If I worked for Sunbeam, I think I'd quit my job knowing that they could possibly manufacture such a piece of junk. Two good features compared to my other mixer are the High Speed button, and, it's quieter. That's it. Otherwise, it's too light weight, the entire base is plastic, the bowl jumps around while mixing, the beaters sit 3/8" off the bottom of the bowl. For great mixing the beaters need to be almost touching the bowl bottom! I think the engineer who designed that feature must never have used a mixer in his/her life! I love my 50-year old 120 watt mixer my mom gave me - excellent workmanship and quality - just no guts for my needs. I'm already looking for a replacement.
