They are beautiful globes!
1 of 2 found this helpful I was suprised at how pretty they were, each one of them had a different design on it and I was really happy up until the moment I started to fill them with water. Made a mental note to self to get a small, small funnel as there was no easy quick way to get water into that tiny opening.
The real trouble came when I pushed them into the dirt. No matter what angle I used, no water would come out to water the plant because the tip of the globe became immediately clogged by dirt. It was difficult to get the clog of dirt out of the tube. I had to resort to a Qtip.
The bottom line is that they are worthless to me because there is no way to insert them into my potting soil without blocking the end with dirt which won't allow the water to trickle out. Maybe there is some sort of special technique or magical trick or voodoo that will keep the dirt out, but I never figured it out.
I haven't given up on them yet though. I am thinking that when one of my plants die, the one that is in critical condition on life support, that I will "plant" the six globes in the pot at different heights and angles for a quirky look. The good thing about that will be that I won't have to water it, I can't kill it and it won't require direct sunlight so I still have hope of getting some use out of them.
