Micro Soldering essential
After watching a youtube video about microsoldering, I had to get the gear to try it myself. This is the foundational tool to have in hand. In some early tests, it's head and shoulders above my traditional and cheaper pencil iron! I'm not sure I'll be successful in replacing a usb port on a tablet motherboard ... but going to give it a go

better value than plastic protectors
much easier to install than plastic protector, and more clarity and fewer bubbles as well
