Great Guy

Fred Dibnah was an amazing guy but is now slowly being forgotten and consigned to history. This series was recently shown again on TV and it is a great shame that the accompanying DVD is out of print and can now only be purchased second hand.

A great gem from the days when sitcoms were still being made.

Major TV channels no longer commission sitcoms like this any longer - which is such a pity. They seem only to want to offer "stand-up" comedy shows now - which I find completely unfunny and just wants to show off the self-importance of the so-called comedian on stage. Thankfully the less well known satellite channels are still broadcast these gems - and this is how I came across this programme. Shame they only made three series. A gentle comedy which genuinely made me laugh.
