Gourmet Magazine Recommends This Deck!
If you are looking for a irreverent, over-the-top Tarot deck - this is it! After all - why be stymied by the standard Rider-Waite way of reading cards when you can use Trumps such as Fish & Chips or The Hoagie, and Suits of Main dishes (Banh Mi), Side dishes (Mac & Cheese), Sweets, such as The Banana Split, or Drinks - reading the Espresso card!
With his tongue firmly screwing into his cheek, Josh LaFayette designs cards of epicurean delight, and even writes the book to accompany your reading/meal.
This deck will delight any Foodie Tarot lover that you know. Yes-you can actually do Tarot readings using this deck! {But only if you can stop laughing long enough to do so!}

Berlitz Makes it Work
Pocket-sized and very concise, the Berlitz Hebrew Phrase Book is well thought out and well - indexed. However, when the inside cover lists a few of the most important phrases you may need, and one of them is 'Stop, Thief!' ... it gives one pause. Highly recommended otherwise!

Poor directions and lack of color pictures is detrimental.
I do temari and had a hard time with this book - found the directions hard to follow, and THE LACK OF COLOR PICTURES detrimental to good results. One ball has patterns for 6 different stars with different color arrangements but is illustrated only with lines - black line is red thread, dotted line is gold thread, wavy line is pink thread - no real way to see what the finished stitching should look like to make a decision. ALSO - in the few color pix given, the entire ball in some cases is never shown, or the color in the pic is off (I thought one green ball was black).
I WOULD NOT recommend this book for beginners, but more experienced stitchers/embroiderers should be able to overcome the poor directions and turn out something pretty despite the rambling - or should I say 'incomprehensible at times' directions.
