    Bad is Good
Bad does not live up to its name and that’s a Good thing. Bad is probably the best album Michael Jackson ever made. True, Thriller blasted his career into the stratosphere, but Bad kept it there. However, Bad is not without its problems. The Sequencing of the songs is the obvious problem. Rather than start off with the most up-beat song (Bad) and work there way down to the slowest (I Just Can’t Stop Loving You) the songs are just sort of haphazardly thrown together. However, it’s forgivable because most of the songs are great. Unfortunately, two of the songs just don’t have it. Speed Demon and Just Good Friends should have been cut. And why Streetwalker was left off this album is beyond me. It not only should have been on the album, but it just so happens to be one of the best songs Michael Jackson ever recorded. It could have been another #1 or at least in the top 10. Fortunately, this song is included on the Special Edition.

    Waterloo
Clearly not ABBA’s best album. How could it be with songs like King Kong Song. Seriously?!! Waterloo is a poor effort from, in my opinion, one of the greatest pop groups in history. Although there debut album “Ring Ring” is not the greatest album of their career it is definitely better than this. After listening to Waterloo, one would be hard pressed to believe that ABBA would ever amount to anything. Aside from the theme song (Waterloo) there isn’t much here to be desired. Most of the songs are dull and ordinary and seem to fade into the back ground. Although "Hasta Manana" and "Dance (While the Music Still Goes On)" are definite highlights, that isn’t really saying much. Thankfully, ABBA would go on to create far greater albums than this (Arival, The Album). Of course if you’re a big ABBA fan like I am then you’ll have to own this album, but be warned.

    Highly Underated
If you watch the movie you will be terribly disapointed, because it shows Elvis as nothing more than a spoilt, egotistical brat. Well, he may be a spoilt, egotistical brat, but he’s a talented spoiled, egotistical brat. Despite his behavior in the movie, he still manages to deliver on the album, and how? This is definitely one of the best albums of Elvis’s entire career and full of memorable songs. The problem that many artists had during this period was having Elvis cover one of their songs, because after he gave their song the “Elvis treatment” it would forever be his. Such is the case with his version of “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling.” After you hear it you’ll be thinking Righteous Brothers who? This album pretty much defined Adult Contemporary music for the early 70’s. It defined the range that AC music could follow, and would make Elvis the king of AC radio for the rest of the decade. However, even though Elvis was never a country artist and only did a hand full of country songs throughout his career, Billboard insisted on charting his singles on the country charts. It was a race thing.
