Great basic phone
For a "basic" phone (not a smart phone), this is a decent unit. It runs BrewMP for the operating system, and it comes with Opera Mini 6. I was able to easily use it with Verizon Prepaid, and I was able to get my Gmail, Facebook, and use other major websites. There is no touch screen, and the OS is not very extensible (hard to add anything to it.) It lacks a "File Manager" for browsing your files, so it only finds photos and music if they're in the right places. Overall, 4 starts for a solid, easy to use phone.

The Sharp Tripad is a game-changing piece of history!
I bought this as a collectors item, I have owned two of them in the past when they were still a technology wonder. This is an early example of a tablet hybrid, running WinCE 2.11 (which later became Windows Mobile). The device has a nice big screen, and enough power to run the programs of its day, though not as snappy by today's standards. This is NOT something to buy if you're looking for a useful everyday organizer, pda or tablet. It is large and heavy; built like a tank. For the time, it was sleek, but compared to iPods and iPads, it's a brick. Just a tad bigger than a netbook of today. However, if you want a cool piece of PDA history that comes in handy with built in word processing, spreadsheets, and enough expandability to add programs, and to easily get your files back and forth to your computer, this fits the bill.
