Fiberboard and veneer
Made in China tells most of the story. Fiberboard construction, thin veneer. This said, it does go together well, was very well packed and all parts were present. I built most of it myself but a second set of hands will be needed (or at least appreciated) on occasion. I put the drawers together first to get used to the construction and plans, the rest went pretty easily. Plans were good enough if not very verbose.
I lightly and accidentally scraped a piece of metal on the top during construction and it easily scraped through the veneer surface. Not hard to repair but a good indication that the beauty of this product is skin deep only.
I'd buy again as this is not intended to be a display piece, just a functional PC desk with storage - and for that - it works.
