Perfect Knife, Almost
1 of 4 found this helpful Outstanding knife in most ways. Super sharp. Opens smoothly. Light weight. Comfortable & secure grip. But, like many Cold Steel folders, the Triad Lock is quite glitchy when disengaging to close the blade. Doesn't always work properly. Other than that, the Finn Wolf is a great knife.

Ulu: Best Knife in your Kitchen
Modern society can & should learn a thing or two from the ancients. They used implements that worked. Case in point, the Ulu. Once you experiment with this simple, yet ingenious knife, you will appreciate its utility & versatility in the kitchen. With practice, you can learn to use the Ulu for almost every kitchen task that you currently use those dull kitchen knives for. It works great on meats, veggies, fruits, for light chopping, mincing, etc. Ulus do not seem to dull easily & work well even when they get dull, as they use a shearing action, for the most part, as opposed to a cut, but can cut just fine, as well. They are easy to sharpen. The Ulu is the ultimate pizza slicer! They work extremely well for those with diminished hand strength or other hand issues, as the hand is placed directly over the work, making some food prep tasks a whole lot easier. Use a wood cutting board with the Ulu (and all quality knives). An Ulu specific cutting board is best, as one side is concave, matching the curvature of the blade's edge. Also, in my experience, the highest quality Ulu available at any cost are those from The Ulu Factory in Alaska. The build quality & blade steel is first-rate. And cost: a quality Ulu costs a fraction of what a high-end chef's knife goes for & it is just as good or better. A couple more things . . . Ulus make great conversation starters, because everyone wants to know what that "thing" is up there displayed on your kitchen counter. Ulus make awesome gifts.

Not Perfect
While I like Hallmark's Bad Blood knives, the Rotor head is not my favorite. While the knife itself was well executed, sharp, with good lines, the sheath held the knife with too much retention. Also, that curved blade works well for some applications, but not for others. Know what you need it for.
