NEW - Doctor Who: The Daemons (Story 59)

Gloriously Campy

The Master in sterotypical "wizard" robes, doing black magic incantations, sacrificing beautiful madians, all to summon demons...oh it is a glorious mixture of science fiction/fantasy/horror. You can't do magic in Doctor Who but you can find work arounds to explain what appears to be magic. It's wonderful Santatic Panic styled camp from the 70s that is well paced and highly engaging.

Fantastic Boxset

This is a great set of films. Five whole Lupin films in all their glory. Some are silly, some have some boring aspects to them. But I'm not going to review each film because over all their quality of story telling, the visuals, the humor all tend to over power the short comings of any given film in traditonal Lupin fashion of "no f***ing way that could..." and then you just accept and laugh. I bought this product because I'm very into Lupin the 3rd and this is the set of films rather than going out and searching and buying each and every one of them. Thus it puts you in a pretty nice spot of having a decent chunk of Lupin films in your collection. Given there are two sets First and Final Haul, the person buying is left with 10. Quality is amazing. Fans of either Subs or Dubs, this will answer all needs. Funimation is one of the best and they put together really great casting. Though, if you are like me and have seen many of their titles, you will notice some of the voices in there and yes, the acting is superb but it can make you think in the back of your head "oh that's so and so". Also, this is a personal opinion, I think Jigen's English voice is a bit too gruff (over looked it as I watched each film) and can rub you the wrong way) and Goemon's voice is pretty deep so that might be surprising too. Especially if you're like me and grew up on the second tv series on Adult Swim. Unfortunately these boxsets are out of print so you will have to probably bid close to the $100 range for both sets (and that's included on other sites if you're like me and shop around). Do I recommend them? Yes. They are great and help you not only from not having to search and by each disc, but they help you save space, and stuff like that. I highly recommend this if you can afford it.

Fun

This was a really fun independent movie. I have some good humor, very character driven, and has a nice little spooky element to it. It's a fun little romp that utilizes a minimalistic setting and story to its fullest advantage. It was compelling. And I loved the actors in this. They did a great job. If you're a fan of Richard speight Jr then you're definitely going to enjoy this because he is one of the Stars. So I highly recommend this movie.
