Fixes cold weather issues
This relay is an update to original equipment in my 2014 Yamaha Viking. I had experienced intermittent cold weather issues with the digital display, the fuel pump and the electric power steering. The original (black) relays are mechanical and I suspect a bit of moisture can cause them to stick in cold weather. The red ones are solid state with no moving parts. The Viking uses three of these. They are under the hood on the passenger side in a row. If yours are black I would replace all three as they are relatively inexpensive and so far have solved those problems.
