Great for teaching kids.
Got one for each of my youngest girls, teaching both safe knife handling and the older of the two is starting knife combatives. The kits are a great value and help them understanding how the mechanism of a common design works. Kit doesn’t even need glue!

Decent, could be better...
Blade is nicely sharp right out of the box, heft and feel is shockingly nice for a $10 knife, far exceeds my expectations!
The only complaints I have are either the design, which had two things to improve.
First thing I’d change would be the pocket clip; by putting it at the opposite end, it would make hooking the cross guard on the lip of you pocket to deploy the blade possible on initial draw.
Second thing would be something to make blade pivot easier. I’m not talking about add a ball bearing plate, just a brass plate with a graphite dry lube would do it. Mine is so stiff I’m going to be doing this myself, since I know how and it’s no big deal but it did cost them a Star. The photos show the clip position I’m talking about on a different knife I own already set up that way.
Other than those two issues it’s a nice knife that fit the size I was needing and I’ll be ordering one of the thumb disc opener versions as well to try it.

Happy surprise.
Bought because I wanted a modern sgian dubh and honestly was expecting a mediocre knife but instead got a knife that is now in my EDC rotation. Blade is of decent material and has a good edge from them factory, TPR handle that is grippy without feeling spongy and the sheath is a decent injection mold with slots wide enough to accept Velcro straps and has a decent paddle to it.
All in all I’m very happy with it and have begun training In It’s use to add to my EDC. I’m very glad I took the chance on it, well worth the price.
