GOOD PRODUCT WITH A CAVEAT ON DAY-TO-DAY HANDLING!
Overall, this is a great case and it protects your computer very well against scratches. (However, this does not mean that you can simply toss it in your carrying bag...a little common sense should be obvious here.) The clear (transparent) cover seems invisible and is sleek (very form-fitting), so you feel like you are handling the actual machine itself. The installation, too, is quite easy; there are two pieces that snap on, one for the top (monitor) and the other for the bottom (keyboard).
Now for some observations and the practicality of their product...as we all know, computers have ports on both sides and so Speck has nicely accommodated for this by constructing extended openings on the design of their cover. But architecturally speaking, this means that a small area like stubs has to be created at the back end. As a result, there is an inherent weakness where one of them can accidentally break off, thus compromising the snug fit. As a suggestion to Speck, try doing some more R&D on stronger material or just make that "problem" area a little thicker.
P.S. Regardless of the TLC in day-to-day activities with your computer, expect this issue to rear its ugly head (especially over time)!! That is exactly why I have a couple "spare parts" on hand!!

A CONSISTENTLY GREAT PRODUCT BUT WITH A WORD OF WARNING ABOUT THE INK PACKS
4 of 4 found this helpful I have had the HP Photosmart C7280 for some years. When it decided to go belly up, there was no hesitation about seeking out another one. Of course, I was not interested in buying anything new because the prices were so completely outrageous. So my only choice was to comb through the eBay site and see what was available. Luckily, the machine I bought was like brand new with very little print usage. It has integrated seamlessly with my computer; the features of duplex printing and fast, clear drafts are a plus. Although ink can be kind of pricey, a little research on alternate vendors can help in reducing the costs significantly. I must add the caveat that HP Value Packs (where the photo paper is included) are to be strictly avoided. They are a total ripoff because the ink cartridges are not filled all the way. And what makes matters worse is that this is not indicated on the packaging. As far as I am concerned, that is tantamount to stealing!
