Decent protection but has flaws

The cover has to be screwed on which makes for a secure fixing and stops it falling off or kids removing but: - Padding is minimal and I expect and fall from standing height will transfer through to the Surface albeit reduce. Some more corner cushioning would have help. - the fold out stand of the surface is completely unprotected. For the price I expected protection from scratches for the stand as a minimum and ideally support for the hinge. Overall this case is neither rugged nor would it survive “military” standard use for a day.

Good for price but heavy

This is a good case and does offer good protection but it is heavy for a silicone case. I expected this based on other reviews but I was a little surprised just how heavy it was. I also found the silicone finish a little slippery in the fingertips. Positives. Seems like about the best protection you can get without a fold away screen cover. Sound is improved from the speakers by projecting the sound forward. Good grip groves and big edge bumper provide a solid area to grasp while working and good defence in case it's dropped. Great price for a big ipad pro case. Negatives. Heavy compared to most. I found a little slippery and my big hands mean the big gossips don't sit much more firmly in my hands. I found the forward projecting bumpers impaired my use of apple pencil a little. A small price to pay for protection if you don't use the pencil a lot. Apple Pencil drawing is my primary use though so it was too annoying
