The Man Who Was Never Born.
1 of 1 found this helpful Dreamy, offbeat retelling of Beauty And The Beast. Martin Landau gives a sincere performance and Shirley Knight is fetching as the beauty. It's direction is excellent and owes something to Frankenheimers' excellent THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE from the year before. The end is bittersweet and downbeat, but poetic and haunting. This epsode stays with you. Nicely done!

The Inheritors Parts 1 and 2
The only two part Outer Limits episode is easily one of the best episodes of the sadly shortened second season. Thought provoking, with sincere performances, a literate script, building to an unforgettable quandry for the special agent in charge ( played by Duvall ) in the shows' final shot. It has an absolute minimum of special effects, which is all to the good. Kudos go to the late Steven Inhat, who delivers a fine performance as the leader of the group in question, who are under alien control. Watch for a young Morgan Brittany, billed as Suzanne Cupito, as one of the children referred to obliquely in the title. Fine episode!

Wolf 359
A good episode from the sadly shortened second season. Patrick O'Neal turns in a good performance as the scientist who attempts to engineer evolution on an artifical world. This world has an anti-God rather than God. Despite obvious budget constraints, it's a good job and the creature called a Phlag is eerie and memorable without being laughable. A solid episode.
