Sub-quality product, that feels weird in hand and has electronic issues out of the box.
While this product does give you 2X the battery capacity capability via 2 compartments, it is of a lower build quality than most 3rd party accessories for this camera brand.
The design is good, and has some cool features. Such as the original battery door has a stow-away compartment incorporated into the pack, as to avoid misplacing it. It also has a geared locking system that allows for a smooth feel.
The assembly is poor, riddled with creaks and snaps as you hold it and use it from the weak, misaligned plastic. The geared locking screw has a tendency to lock-up when trying to unscrew, and I feel at a point will snap internally, leaving the pack stuck into the camera via the anchor screw on the bottom. The ergonomics are deplorable, and it hurts hands of any size, at any angle... Maybe it's just that the T3 was not designed to be used with an extended grip, idk. I just don't like how this feels, and makes it look very strange as well.
The 2nd shutter button is connected via an external cable, which is a bit ridiculous to begin with. Not to mention the camera has an I2C bus interface in the battery compartment, and the shutter trigger could have been wired in there via press pad contacts. Regardless, when hooked up the button works, yes... But is always engaged on 1st action. This is where you give the trigger a small press, and the AF closes in and IS kicks on, before you push it all the way for a full shutter actuation. This means, whenever the cable to use the 2nd shutter button is plugged in, IS and AF are on and working. This is not how these services are intended to be used, and unintentionally carrying around a camera in this state can cause damage to the lens.
I will say this product is unique as I don't believe anyone else makes a 3rd party extended grip for the T3. It is very cheap considering the cost of other 3rd party ones of higher quality for other models/brands, but honestly should be avoided due to sub-par quality.
I would say this is a functioning product, aside from the external shutter cable and error of the AF and IS always being on.

Amazing radio to start on, or use every day!
So, let me start by saying that this is my first ever new radio, only ever picked up used ones from the hamvention :) This is an awesome radio all around, and functions far better than I assumed it would have based on the price and name. I have been using it for about 4 weeks now, and have not had to crack open the manual yet. The controls/menus feel very much like a uv-5r, and if you like that radio, you will love this one. The construction is quality, all metal case, no sharp edges, all coated in a nice to the touch rugged paint. The kit comes with everything you need to run the unit, aside from an antenna and a power source. Even comes with a 12V plug and mounting bracket/screws. The mic is high quality, as are the cord, connectors, and boots covering them. PTT button feels nice, and the mic fits in the hand well.
I am able to work my local repeater using this unit and a trunk-mount antenna from about 60 miles away. The reception is amazing, and if on a hill I can receive 2 meter transmissions from around 100 miles out. The transmission is clean, and low noise. The internal speaker is clear, even at volumes that will hurt your ears.
Quite an amazing little radio for the price, its shocking how cheap, small, and powerful this unit is. While still maintaining almost military like quality.

Extremely well built lens for the price.
1 of 1 found this helpful I was shocked to see how much this lens is new, and thought there must be something off about it, but no! It functions almost exactly the same as the Canon 50mm equivalent but is 1/2 the price.
Positives:
Extremely sharp image.
Nice focus.
Large amount of light passage.
fast Internal aperture
Mechanically based MF
quality AF, quick adjustments.
Beautiful quality coatings on the optics
Only difference I have noticed is the sound of the AF servo in this lens is a bit noisier than that in the Canon 50mm.
