(Mostly) Russian faves and obscurities executed with easy-to-listen-to precision.
Were I shopping for the tracks themselves, they were nicely done in a real hall for real verb, and worth grabbing (while the prices seem pretty variable for the CD here vs the music online; we each got them free, so I'm looking empirically at the disc's musical offering itself with a critical eye to price for the package). Smirnov of Pskov's intensely focused direction and attention to detail made the work at once a challenge and a reward to both those musicians and (greater number of) dedicated regular folks fortunate to have participated in the endeavor. The chorus itself had even been well enough along in production value to have contributed to the Robin Williams film "What Dreams May Come" at about the same time; this collection is Slavyanka at a definite peak. Personal favor aside, it was a great project valuable as much for its sonority even in comparison with other such recordings (as, say, the Shostakovich "What Kind of Songs" from Glinka Capella) as for the uniqueness in print of some of its material. Had I not my own already, I'd buy it for sure.

Perfect Part
The music editing box is now blazing; Dim 2400 has all the RAM it can handle with these. Working great! These boards were even Dell- stickered. Perfect addition for way little cash.

Better than some, less than others
I generally like Motorola, though they tend to go stupid after a few years (save th 8000 and 5000/550s I had). Usually they work well and I like the interface. I bought this to replace the HTC Hermes that got me around the world pretty well, and it overall was close to the best of both companies' offerings- except for the registration fiasco for that motoblur business. I guess it's fun if you live on facebook or google, but I really don't need to link my email to my phone, nor do I need to send some record of all the numbers I use to them, wherever motoblur is (it requires password login to the motoblur acct on a sim change. Good for security maybe...). On security I wanted to keep up with all this app stuff today, but google is reputed to be the worst, and one visit to one of their sites (picasa) poisoned my netbook with "work for google" popups that forced a reinstallation of OS. I decided that the apps weren't worth the trouble and worry with this adventure...
The slider/keyboard setup is neat, like HTC and Nokia that I've had, as screen-dependent entry is sketchy at best (the Nokia N8 was the worst for hitting the wrong character). I like this one way better.
Android. What's all the fuss? Windows is much better for my taste. I don't want to have to hack this dumb system to take out things like the blur. Windows lets you kill programs a little more easily as I've seen, though don't speak categorically for everything.
Just sitting, off, the battery took another charge after just a couple of days. Maybe it's the cold here.
The back bows out in the center of its length, and tends to fall off without much provocation.
It seems nice enough, but the quality of Motorola seems to have taken a dip. I bought another HTC and will stick with them. Overall an ok phone, there are simply better ones out there, for my own taste. I would recommend it if you really want android in a usable, world-ready simphone at a not-too-high price, I just want something else for myself.
