This is the way to buy ram
I needed to rebuild a system, and wanted to reuse as much of the stuff as possible. Buying high end used ram like Crucial is the way I'll always do this in the future. 2x2gB well priced, shipped fast. Crucial ram is extremely reliable, I've never had any fail ever, so I'm not worried about buying it used.

Great value: used cpu AMD AM2
This is a very good era of AMD cpus, still easy to find motherboards for AM2 type, high end stuff, but because it's now getting older, it's a great deal. The AM2 does everything you need a cpu to do for almost any application except the heaviest duty stuff, which 99% of people never do, excluding gaming of course. From now on I'm always going to buy my ram/cpus this way, the cost savings is easily worth it. Note: always avoid bent pins etc, they are hard to bend back. I've never had a cpu fail, any, ever, so I feel quite confident buying them used. And at these prices, it's hardly a gamble.
