Fun non-collectible deckbuilding game
This is a great game, easy rules with surprisingly complex and deep mechanics. Each faction pairs with any other faction tolerably well, although some combinations are certainly stronger that others. The bigger, geekier box has ample space for all of the expansions that have been published, with enough room left over for at least another dozen expansions, easily.
The game plays quickly when everyone is familiar with the factions that they are playing, although many factions allow digging through the deck to look for certain types of cards, so the huge number of factions can make it difficult to gain that level of familiarity with all of them.
