Vintage Monogram Car Models
This specific item, not the overall model as produced, was identified in the listing as "having a FEW" parts loose within the box. Well that was less than genuine. There were MANY pieces floating around loose. Now granted it was a 2nd hand model having set on someone's shelves for decades. But its description was far from accurate.
That said, I have found all of the vintage Monogram car models to be EXCELLENTLY engineered car models. I cannot say that of Lindburg, AMX, or indeed any of the other model makers. There's always pieces that simply do not properly fit or their design was less than acceptable. I recently had an AMT model that was supposed to have front wheels that turned left and right, but the pieces were so tiny that they could not be glued to each other without sticking to their entire assemblies, thus the wheels turn round and round, but not left and right. Rather annoying, but it illustrates the concept. I've yet to find a Monogram model with that kind of a problem.
