Lightweight shacle
I am using this for attaching the jib sheets to the clew to allow for easy sail changing withough re-running the sheets. A flogging jib could easily knock a tooth out with a metal shackle and bowlines tied on the clew are almost as heavy (although not as hard) but seem to hang up on the mast and stays when tacking. This dyneema soft shackle was the perfect solution!

Lewmar: the standard in sailing winches
Solid, construction. Love the single speed. It’s reduced 2:1 in one direction, freewheeling in the other. Let’s you get the perfect start. Once you use a self-tailing winch, you’ll never want to use a standard one.

Great snap shackles
Surprisingly high quality for the budget price. Operates very smoothly. A few minor casting imperfections that you can feel with a finger, but nothing that will significantly chafe your lines.
