Very easy to install but has its drawbacks
Fitted this unit in approx 10 minutes, replacing legacy mechanical timer.
Setup was a pain.
We are in Ireland and the Honeywell website registration during the setup through the app would not complete, because we chose Ireland as our location and it did not recognise EirCodes or an empty 'zip code'.
Once I changed that to a UK address and postcode, all completed, but now the location data for the weather will be wrong. Honeywell need to fix this.
The app is good, the geofencing works and it integrates with Smartthings.
It has a limited number of schedules, so not good for automating more schedules for during the day. Morning and evening periods is not enough, so not really that SMART or flexible.
Maybe using compensating IFTTT and other smart sensor instead of thermostat and schedule in the Lyric will produce a more tailored and flexible heating regime.
But interactive and controllable it certainly is, with dependencies on more flexible and mature SMART systems.
Quick to react to web based requests from the various apps and iot rules.
Overall, it isn't as smart as I hoped but with integration into the smart home you can compensate for it.
